For those who would like to take some training but can’t fit our structured programs into their own schedules, Kanata Sailing Club offers private lessons. Private lessons are ideal for those who want to try sailing or experienced sailors who want to tune up their skills. Lessons are available for those of all levels of ability and available on both dinghies or catamarans. Sign up for one, several or book a regular weekly time slot all summer.
Lessons are available in two hour blocks. To maximize your learning time, it is recommended you arrive ahead of time to get your boat rigged. Don’t know how to rig the club boats? A free rigging clinic is available for all members, and of course you can ask the instructors or another member to help you out!
New member to the club? The one-time sailing competency checkout is required to sail club boats, and is the same fee as the private lessons. Contact the instructors for more info on what the checkout entails.
Cost:
Members | $90 for one person, $135 for two people |
Non-members | $115 for one person; $170 for two people |
Note that 13% HST applies to all fees.
