KSC has both monohull boats and catamarans available, and each type requires different skills and training to operate. We employ a Key Tag System to track which boats are out on the water and to identify which type(s) of boat each sailor is qualified to skipper.
Key Tags:
| Tag | Meaning |
| None | Social Member. No sailing privileges, but full use of the club’s facilities. |
| Blue Tag | Ability to use any of the monohull boats e.g. Albacore, Laser, Byte etc. |
| Red Tag | Ability to use any of the monohull or catamaran boats. |
| Yellow Tag | Ability to use any of the monohull boats (e.g. Albacore, Laser, Byte), under supervision by parent with Blue or Red Tag. Also required is the Yellow Tag Release of Liablility and Assumption of Risk Agreement |
| White Tag | In training, awaiting check-out, or crew only. |
