We’re Hiring for 2026!

Our KSC training director Corinne is looking for qualified instructors to join us for the 2026 training season. We have three positions available with different requirements for each:

Head Instructor
- Responsible for planning & delivering our sail training programs for adults, youths, and junior sailors
- Supervises the other two assistants
- Part time May-June, full time late June-August, $22-26/hour depending on qualifications
- Requires
  - Certified CANSail instructor qualifications
  - Previous training experience
  - Membership with Sail Canada
  - Pleasure craft operators card
Assistant Instructor
- Assists head instructor to deliver our sail training programs
- Part time May-June, full time late June-August, $20-22/hour depending on qualifications
- Requires
  - Membership with Sail Canada
  - Pleasure craft operators card
Beach Assistant
- Manages the flow of junior sailors to/from shore and assisting the sailing instructors with on-shore activities
- Min age of 13 years, no CANSail qualifications required
- Part time or full time hours, July-August, $17-18.5/hour depending on experience

2025 Registrations Are Open!

It’s that time of year again, you can now register for memberships and training programs for 2025! See our sign-up page here:

This year we’ve decided to introduce an early bird discount on memberships, which expires May 15th. Sign up for membership & boat/trailer storage before then to save some money!

For 2025 we have the following training programs:

Adult Learn to Sail – 3 sessions available May to June including weekday evening and full-day classes.
Junior Learn to Sail – 7 sessions available July to Aug full-day (9-4:30) classes.
Junior Advanced Learn to Sail – 2 sessions for Jr sailors that already have their CANSAIL 1.

We also added a Wet Feet program for children aged 6-10 years old. This program is designed to engage this young group of sailors by teaching them about sailing boats, water safety, and fundamental movement and balance skills in SailQube dinghies. This week also includes fun games and activities in a day camp environment.

Like prior years, there will be a 50% discount on single or family memberships when signing up for one of our Adult Learn to Sail courses.
